30 hours of free childcare per week

From September 2017, eligible working families may be able to claim 30 hours of free childcare per week for children aged 3 and 4.  These 30 hours will be available during our Core Sessions of 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday during term time (38 weeks per year).

To be eligible, you and any partner must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.  You do not qualify for 30 hours free childcare if either you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 per annum or more.

To see if you could be eligible please use the Government's Childcare Calculator.
