Wear It Green Day

As part of mental health awareness week 13-19 May 2024, we took part in ‘Wear It Green Day’ to support the Mental Health Foundation. 

1 in 6 people are affected by mental health problems every week. The money raised helps the foundation conduct vital research, develop solutions and treatments as well as work towards their goal of prevention. Preventing mental health is vital and we want to aspire for ‘good mental health for all.’ 

The focus this year was movement and our children took part in a sponsored run/walk around the school playground for 15 minutes which is approximately 1 mile. On the 16th May everyone came to school wearing something green and took part in the sponsored run/walk to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. In total Hamstel Infant School and Nursery raised £558!
