Panathlon 2025

6 year 2 children (Adelaide, Archie, Dylan, Ezra, Lily and Phoebe) visited Alleyn court school on Thursday afternoon to take part in a Panathlon. There were 6 different activities from bowling to curling to parachute popcorn which they competed in as a team. We started with curling. This was not our highest scoring activity as we hadn't ' got our eye in' yet but the children enjoyed trying something new and were consistent with their scoring. Next was the beanbag throw; they had lots of turns at this and Adelaide and Dylan were consistent high scorers.  Bowling was next; this was a fast-paced activity and the young leaders from Alleyn court, really helped to get the children motivated and moving. Our 4th activity was a throwing activity, different amounts were awarded depending on the target hit. Dylan was very determined to go for the highest scoring target each time and was mostly successful. Parachute popcorn followed. As a team we scored a lot of points at this station. The team got more and more accurate with their throws and took their turns quickly. The final activity was basketball. The children could choose to try for 1, 2 or 3 points. This was our highest scoring activity. The team really concentrated and took their turns quickly which meant we had more chances to score. Well done to Adelaide and Dylan, who chose to go for 3 points each time with everyone else choosing 2 points. Lots of great scoring happened here. We lined up and waited for a for the scores to be added up. 

All the other schools were getting their medals then it came to us....WE WON GOLD!

The children were a credit to the school and themselves. They behaved impeccably and worked well as a team.
