Year 1 outdoor learning

Year One have enjoyed investigating Autumn and went on a tree hunt around the wildlife area. The children identified whether trees were deciduous or evergreen and used a key to identify the type of tree including holly, oak, ash and elder.

The children have also been learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. They listened to the story of Rama and Sita, designed their own Mendi patterns and used leaves and chalks to create their own Rangoli patterns outside.
